Braxton H. Cloutiér

Braxton H. Cloutiér is an immigration and trial attorney who helps individuals and employers navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. His practice at Momentum Immigration focuses on employment-based immigration, with an emphasis on EB-3 immigrant worker cases and helping foreign nationals pursue permanent residence through employer sponsorship.

 

Braxton works with clients throughout the employment-based immigration process, including matters involving PERM labor certification, immigrant worker petitions, adjustment of status, and consular processing. His broader immigration experience includes representing individuals seeking asylum and other humanitarian protections, lawful permanent residence, and U.S. citizenship, as well as individuals facing removal proceedings. 

 

Before focusing his practice on immigration law, Braxton served as a public defender, an experience that strengthened his skills as an advocate and trial attorney. Braxton's commitment to immigrant communities began before law school through two years of AmeriCorps service, where he worked with individuals, families, and immigrant communities in rural North Carolina. He earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association, received the CALI Award in Trial Advocacy, competed as a member of the Trial Team, and received the 2019 Public Interest Award. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages, with a concentration in Spanish, from North Carolina A&T State University.
